The Royal Mountain Range has beautiful natural landscapes worthy of admiration: huge mountains, snow-capped mountains and magical lagoons that immerse us in a deep peace and serenity.
It is necessary to have experience in camping and trekking to make these routes without problems.
Day 1: La Paz – Ajwani
Our destination will be the Ajwani village (4760 m.a.s.l.). From this point we will be able to observe the beautiful valley with high mountains. We will have a nice walk in the surroundings.
Accommodation: Tent.
Meals included: Lunch and dinner.
Day 2: Ajwani – Chiarkota
We will continue with our hike, where we will be able to observe the lagoons that are formed with the thaw of the different snow-capped mountains, and the high altitude birds that live in the area.
The objective of this day is to climb a summit at an altitude of 4910 m.a.s.l., from where we will appreciate the famous west face of Huayna Potosi. Then, we will descend to the Jurikota Lagoon, where we will set up our camp.

Day 3: Chiarkota – Pico Austria – La Paz
Last day of trekking. We will climb to 5140 m.a.s.l on the Austria peak. From there, we will admire a beautiful panoramic view of Condoriri and Huayna Potosi. Then, we will descend to reach the Chiarkota Lagoon (5 hours trek). At the end of the tour, we will return in the afternoon to the city of La Paz.

Weather: Cold, temperatures range between 12° and -5°. It is preferable to make this trek in the dry season, between April and October. Otherwise, the rains are very inconvenient.

Difficulty: Moderate. The hike can be very tiring so it is necessary to have a good physical condition.
